Bethesda Lutheran School was established in 1952 as a Christian school with the main purpose of giving children a quality "Christ-centered" education. The school initially served the children of the parish and then expanded over time to serve the needs of the community. A curriculum of Bible stories, language arts, pre-reading and early mathematic concepts is followed. Daily free play and large motor skills time. A child must reach the age of three years before September l to be enrolled in the three-year-old preschool program, and must reach the age of four years before being enrolled in the four-year-old preschool program. As per state law, a child must reach the age of five years before September l to be enrolled in Kindergarten. Academic testing may be required to aid in determining Kindergarten readiness. Enrollment in grades 1-8 is contingent upon successful completion of the prior grade. Academic testing may be required to aid in determining grade placement. Parents will be asked to sign a written request for the transfer of all school records from the previous school, including the most recent report card and most recent achievement test results.
