About Academy

Academy at the Lakes is a school community unlike any other. We believe that, to truly unwrap the potential in each child, the school experience must encompass far more than grades and college acceptance letters. At Academy, we instill values such as compassion, responsibility, and respect.

A community like Academy at the Lakes doesn’t happen by accident. We are intentional about our school’s culture – from the faculty we hire, to the students we enroll, to our advisory program, to the way our students, teachers, and administrators interact on a daily basis. A door held open, eye contact, and a sincere “thank you” are the norm here, not the exception.

Let’s Get Started!

Academy serves students in PreK3 through High School in a warm community, preparing them for college and for life. We celebrate the love of learning and the joy in the journey.

Whatever floats your boat!Honors Physics students finished their study of fluids by working in teams to build their own cardboard boats for our first ever Cardboard Boat Regatta. Students used their knowledge of Archimedes’ Principle to make predictions about the minimum surface area and volume necessary to generate enough buoyant force to support the boat and one of the team members. Students then traveled to the Land O Lakes Rec Center Pool for a float test and the final race. Afterwards, students analyzed both their successes and failures. Congratulations to our many successful teams! #cardboardboat #physics #archimedesprinciple #regatta ... See MoreSee Less
